Biography
Geoff “OnCue” Sarubbi grew up to his brother's hip-hop tapes; OnCue
was formed in '98 when the young Caucasian boy wrote his first rhyme. He rapped it to himself, or to the beats that we're
playing over the TV. Steadily, trying to get transgress his skills, he kept rapping and eventually got a hold of a karaoke
machine where he record his first few full songs, to single instrumentals. His first demo tape, around age 11 got to Future
Rises Entertainment out of Bronx, New York via a comrade by the name of Tragiq. OnCue was sent up there, on pure faith and
it ended up into a great relationship. He went on to record a few tracks for the company, but the distance made it hard on
both ends. He returned to CT in a sense, to look for a new company, but ended up finding Conphlict an emcee out of Middletown,
CT. The two connected immediately and did their first record together entitled, “Genie.” That's where Game Point
Recordings was formed, off a timeless friendship between two hip-hop heads.
Since Conphlict was sent off to boarding school, OnCue was cornered and ended up meeting
up with Rik Diamonds, who owned his own Da Clef Entertainment imprint. Ric Sanchez, his partner agreed to manage him. In their
studio in Wethersfield, The Opus was created. September of 2004, OnCue entered a local contest on the commercial
radio station Hot 93.7, and went on to break votes for his club record “Backend” and ended up getting great exposure.
In February, he graced the legendary Toad's Place stage with headliners, Jae Millz and Motown recording artist Cory Gunz.
Coming up in a state, which hardly any hip-hop scene, he is taking his own part in it to make the scene grow. Mention the
name to anyone, and I bet you'll get an answer, regardless. His debut album, The Opus dropping August 16th is a collection
of hard work since the beginning. Once you hear, the hunger, the genuine sense of this album you'll immediately say OnCue
is destined for greatness, despite that seems to be a saying for most struggling musicians.
The Opus is coming out with production from Rik Diamonds, Ike West, Yung
Keyz, iNKredible, Trackmonstas, Incognito, Young Cecil, M Rell and more. It also features, Shawn Blazze, Tragiq, Conphlict,
Rik Diamonds, Killa Scripshas, Odasea, Milo Sheff & Morphius.
